PRINCETON TIGER, LARGE 1915 23.75"h x 54.25"w x 13.13"d edition of 24 $9,500
This plaster was used to point-up the monumental Tigers at Nassau Hall at Princeton University. The monumental sculptures were presented to Princeton by the class of 1879 and dedicated on commencement day of 1909. Woodrow Wilson, then president of Princeton University, attended the unveiling of the statues. The Tigers were awarded the Gold Medal of Honor from the Architectural League, New York in 1911. The smaller Tigers were shown at the Canadian Art Clubs 4th Annual Exhibition in Toronto in March 1911. A smaller version of this bronze is also available in a limited edition.
