This bronze was made by Proctor for his own pleasure, and he thought he might use it for a headstone on his grave. A person from the Pratt Institute saw it and commissioned Proctor to do it in marble for the Institute. The plaster was on display at The Gorham Co. Founders showroom in New York City for an exhibition from October 6-25, 1913. Identifying marks: signed A.P. Proctor; trademark coin. Copyright Phimister Proctor Church, 1996.
