edition of 50
$2,800

Only one lifetime bronze of this size has been documented. It is at the R.W. Norton Gallery in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1887, Proctor did several small startled bear cub plasters, and in later editions he added a rabbit. Then he enlarged the size and used a frog as the creature that startled the bear cub. Identifying marks: signed A.P. Proctor; trademark coin (underside). Copyright Phimister Proctor Church, 1996.
