Limited Edition Bronzes
The following posthumous Limited Edition Bronzes have been created from molds made from Alexander Phimister Proctor’s original plasters. These plasters have been passed down through the family to Proctor’s grandson, Phimister Proctor Church. Sandy, as he is nicknamed, has gone to great lengths to maintain this collection and to keep it intact for scholarly studies and public review. Each bronze is cast by the traditional lost wax process, with special attention paid to the preservation of artistic character and fine patinas. Sandy personally inspects and approves each bronze cast. After each series of Limited Edition Bronzes has been sold, the mold will be destroyed. The plaster has been donated to the A. Phimister Proctor Museum with the agreement that a mold cannot be made from the plaster for the purpose of casting a bronze.
